Special Assistant to Sindh CM on empowerment of persons with disabilities, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that Sindh government is facilitating special persons and children at all levels and recently Sindh cabinet has approved issuance of driving licenses to hearing impaired persons and this is a big achievement.
This he said as a chief guest in 5th annual conference, organized by Kazim Trust, here at Bahria Auditorium on Saturday.
On this occasion, renowned personalities Faysal Qureshi, Junaid Akram, Akbar Chaudhary and Ali Gul Pir also spoke. The conference was arranged to highlight the issues of attention deficit hyperactive, learning difficulties among children.
Qamar added, ‘ Special children are part of the society and we must treat them with special attention, love and care so that they may live a normal life’.
He said that a number of rehabilitation centres were functioning under department of empowerment of persons with disabilities in Sindh and we were providing better health, education and care facilities to special children.
He said that no doubt a certain number of NGOs were also doing wonderful job in this sector and Sindh government was also coordinating with these organizations, adding that Kazim Trust was one of them.
He said that there was a need to bring about positive change on special persons and children and we must treat them with utmost care and to encourage them to come forward to play their due role in the society.
