BARBADOS – South Africa and India will face off in the final clash of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday (today).
The winning team being crowned the champion of the short format.
The final of the event between India and South Africa would start today at 7:30 PM Pakistan time in Barbados.
For the first time in the history of the ICC T20 World Cup, two unbeaten teams would face off in the final.
The team that wins the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 while remaining unbeaten, would become the first team in the world to win the tournament by defeating another unbeaten team.
Rain may impact final match
On the other hand, rain is also ready to make its presence felt during the final clash.
Rain is predicted in Barbados on Saturday and Sunday.
Rain is forecasted in Barbados from morning till 6 PM, while a reserve day has been set for the World Cup final match on Sunday, and there is also a chance of rain on that day.
There is a possibility of rain between 11 AM and 5 PM on Sunday.
According to the playing conditions, there is an additional 190 minutes on both days for the match.
The official duration of the match is from 10:30 AM to 1:40 PM local time, and in the case of extra time, play could continue until 4:50 PM.
If the final cannot be completed, India and South Africa would be declared joint champions.
