Fatima Memorial Hospital with the collaboration of General Cadre Doctor’s Association Punjab (GCDA) held the seminar on smog awareness in which Chairperson of Fatima Memorial System, Mrs. Shahima Rehman thanked all the guests who highlighted the issue of smog and shared some valuable precautionary measures for the gathered audience.
Dr. Khalid Waheed, Dr. Fareed Zafar, Dr. Saeed Elahi, Dr. Azeem Jahangir, Dr. Asad Aslam and Dr. Masood Akhtar participated and addressed about smog and its solutions to avoid multiple diseases.
Dr. Khalid Waheed, Professor of Pulmonology Lahore General Hospital, shared the impact of smog on the respiratory system and highlighted the key precautions to prevent from many diseases caused from smog. He shed some light on the history of smog and differences between smog and fog. He insisted on controlling air quality index on government level and urged the government to take initiative at the national level.
Prof. Dr. Tayyab Abbas, Principal of Fatima Memorial Hospital College of Medicine and Dentistry addressed and welcome all the guests who participated in the seminar and showed cooperation with other institutes to fight against smog. He encouraged the positive gesture of all the participants.
Dr. Fareed Zafar, Principal Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, Lahore discussed about the smog and improvement of air quality index through preventive measures. He further addressed an impacts of smog on our population categorically.
