At least six passengers were killed while 32 others sustained injuries as bus overturned near Pull Rangu here on Sunday morning. According to Rescue 1122 officials, an AC bus carrying passengers was on its way to Bahawalpur via Multan from Shakar Garh when suddenly it overturned near pull Rangu while saving a motorcyclist. As a result, six passengers died on the spot while 32 others sustained injuries.
The critical injured were shifted to Nishtar hospital Multan while some to DHQ Khanewal and THQ Kabirwala. District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Dr Ijaz Anjum also reached on the spot and led the rescue operation.
Four youth including two real brothers were killed in Indus River while bathing during the last 36 hours in Marri police limits. Rescue sources said Sunday that two brothers Nabeel Ahmad and Nadeem residents of Marri Sher along with friends were celebrating picnic at river Indus near village Makhadd when they drowned into deep water while bathing.
Five labourers were scorched and hospitalised when fuel tanker in a factory exploded here on Sunday, rescue sources said. According to details, a group of labourers was engaged in welding work inside a factory located at Sharqpur Road in Sheikhupura when the diesel tank blasted due to leakage.
