In spite of heavy snowfall in the border area of South Waziristan Lower district, protest sit-in for their rights continues. The ongoing protest sit-in in Angoor Adda has entered into two months, but unfortunately the district administration and other authorities are not aware of it.
The people of Angoor Adda are sitting on sit-in for their legitimate rights, while unfortunately the government is not ready to accept their legitimate demands. If seen, this is a place of shame for our officials, on one hand, snow has fallen, but on the other hand, the people are demanding their legitimate rights.
The sit-in participants say that we are spending the day and night in an area where the law and the constitution are being flouted. The sit-in participants said that Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan’s Lower Tehsil birmal has been deprived of basic amenities for many decades.
On the other hand, PPP’s PK 114 candidate Imran Mukhalis announced his support for the ongoing sit-in in Angoor Adda. He said that despite the severe cold, people have put up tents and staged a sit-in for their rights. Imran said that they are also Pakistani citizens, while they have rights like other citizens, their legitimate demands should be resolved immediately by the government. On the other hand, the sit-in organizers say that until the government accepts our demands, our dharna will continue.
