Sindh cities sizzle at 45°C as heatwave continues

KARACHI – Extremely hot weather will continue to persist in most parts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these weather conditions, extremely hot weather is expected in most districts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday. Hot and humid weather is expected in coastal areas of the province. Gusty/dust-raising winds are expected in central and southern districts during the period.

Karachi’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 35-37°C on Monday and Tuesday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 43-45°C on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, very hot and dry prevailed in most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi and coastal areas of the province. Gusty/dust-raising winds occurred in the upper districts.

Jacobabad, Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C. The maximum temperature in Khairpur, Rohri and Sukkur was recorded at 44°C.

In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 57 per cent.

In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 30 per cent.
