Senior Provincial Minister for Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon, chaired a significant meeting of the Information Department in Karachi, focusing on resolving issues faced by media workers and organizations. During the session, Minister Memon underscored the Sindh government’s commitment to enhancing facilities for journalists, stressing the need to eliminate obstacles hindering their professional duties.
He emphasized the importance of addressing challenges encountered by journalistic organizations and resolving their financial issues promptly, with a focus on both print and electronic media. Memon urged consultation with key media bodies such as PBA, APNS, and CPNE to identify and address problems effectively, while also advocating for enhanced measures for the welfare of media workers.
Additionally, he advocated for the establishment of social media accounts for all departments to facilitate public access and ensure effective communication about government projects and initiatives for public welfare, particularly in sectors like education and health.
The meeting saw the participation of key officials, including Secretary Information Nadeem Ur Rehman Memon, DG Information Saleem Khan, Director Admin Mansoor Rajpoot, Director Advertising Muhammad Yousif Kabooro, Director Press Riaz Memon, Director Electronic Media Fida Baladi, Director Publication Imtiaz Joyo, Director Films Hizbullah Memon, Director Social Media Faisal Farooqui and various directors from different departments, highlighting a collaborative effort to address media-related issues effectively.
