Senate Elections 2024 Results: Check winners on 30 seats

ISLAMABAD – Elections on Senate vacant seats occurred today on Tuesday in the National legislature and provincial assemblies.

Islamabad

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was elected senator on a technocrat seat with 222 votes. Rana Mahmood Hasan of Pakistan People’s Party bagged seat in upper house of parliament with 224 votes.

His rival, Farzand Hussain, got 79 votes. 310 votes were cast, and 7 were discarded.

Punjab

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb won the election on technocrat seat, raking in 128 while Petroleum Minister Musadiq Malik got 121 votes.

Sindh

Pakistan People’s Party bagged 10 seats in the Senate, MQM and independent candidate got each.

PTI independent candidates, and Jamaat-e-Islami boycotted the elections.  154 members of the Sindh Assembly cast their votes.

Balochistan

All candidates from Balochistan Assembly were elected unopposed. ECP announced that candidates from sparsely populated region were elected unopposed on all seats.

KP

Senate elections in KP were postponed at request from opposition members, who raised concerns about 25 members not being sworn in.Top of Form
