SBP’s foreign exchange reserves drop by $220mn

KARACHI – State Bank of Pakistan’s liquid foreign exchange reserves reached $7,494.2 million after decreasing by $220 million as of October 20, 2023.

As per the data released by the central bank on Thursday, net foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks stood at $5,161.4 million.

As such, total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $12,655.6 million as of October 20, 2023.

During the week ended on October 20, 2023, SBP’s reserves decreased by $220 million on account of debt repayments.
