LAHORE – The Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Monday issued update on Umrah visas ahead of Hajj 2024.
The Saudi Gazette reported that the date was pushed back to to Dhul Qadah 29 to Dhul Qadah 15 by the relevant ministry.
The development took place at the moment when Saudi Arabia is all set to welcome Hajj pilgrims in the coming months.
The Umrah pilgrims as per the date announced by the relevant ministry will leave the country before Dhul Qadah 15.
“The date of Dhul Qadah 15 was approved, two weeks earlier than the previously announced expiry date of Dhul Qadah 29,” said the ministry.
The move comes as part of the government’s attempt to ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah from all over the world for the annual pilgrimage of Hajj.
The ministry made it clear that the validity of the three-month Umrah via would start from the date of issuance instead of previously approved validity from the date of entry into Saudi Arabia.
The plan would be executed with the coordination between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
