Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has launched ‘Ration Management System’ under Punjab Development Network.
More than 16 welfare organisations can receive complete information about the poor families affected by corona crisis. The governor said that under this system, the poor family can get aid/help from one welfare organisation at a time and this will also help ensure 100 per cent transparency in distribution of ration. Pakistan’s economy is also hit hard by corona crisis.
“We appeal to the people that they wear masks and maintain social distance because safety measures help in controlling the dreadful virus.” According to details, launching ceremony of “Ration Management System” of Punjab Development Network comprising welfare organisation was held at Governor House on Friday.
On this occasion, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, Vice Chairperson of Sarwar Foundation Begum Perveen Sarwar, Akhuwat Chairman Dr Amjad Saqib and others were also present. Rabia Zia apprised the participants of the inaugural ceremony about ‘Ration Management System’.
Addressing the ceremony and later talking to media, the governor said that unfortunately, coronavirus is not eliminated so easily, and we all have the obligation to extend helping-hand to the poor families and supply ration at their doorstep in a transparent manner during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak. That is why, we have introduced Ration Management System, and through this system, we can check record of any deserving family that has received aid from any welfare organisation or which organisation will provide them ration in days to come.
It will be ensured that a family gets one time ration from same welfare organization in a month. He said that Pakistani nation also passed through difficult times in the past as we have defeated terrorism and sectarianism, and now fight out coronavirus. Government is taking care of poor people during corona crisis and 12 million people are being provided financial assistance under Ehsaas Programme. Effective strategy helped in overcoming corona pandemic.
He appealed to philanthropists to continue with their support so that no family, affected by corona crisis, is left hungry.
