Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja inaugurated the poster exhibition on the topic of climate change at National College of Arts, here on Thursday.
The poster-making competition and exhibition were organised among the students on the topic of environmental changes. The participants of the exhibition appreciated the creative posters of the students of the NCA design department.
Speaking on this occasion, the SAPM said that securing the future of the youth was among the top priorities of the government, adding that youth of the country was capable and determined, they only need a guideline or platform to grow forward.
The SAPM said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was committed to facilitate the youth of the country in every field, and for the purpose Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had started various youth development programmes. She asserted that she was paying special attention to the challenges faced by the youth and making efforts to resolve these challenges.
She stressed the need for comprehensive plantation strategy to deal with current environmental challenges, saying that today she was happy to see the active participation of the youth in the poster exhibition on environment change. Youth were much aware from these environmental challenges, she added. Plantation was indispensable to deal with the challenges of environmental changes, she asserted.
She further said that she always had a desire to come to the NCA, as NCA was a historical institution, and students from here made the name of Pakistan famous by reaching high positions abroad. In that, the National College of Arts had valuable services for art in various fields.
NCA Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Murtaza Jafari said that a campaign had been initiated to make NCA green. Moreover, everyone had to deal with the challenges of climate change together.
Later, the SAPM along with Professor Dr. Murtaza Jafari also started the plantation drive by planting saplings.
