MUMBAI – Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza on Monday opened up about importance of companionship during the difficult times of one’s life.
She said the wealth and popularity are not important in one’s life; what is important is that who is there for one during the difficult times.
Sania expressed her biggest fear of drifting away from the reality. She also lamented the prevalence of falsehoods and fabrication on the social media these days.
The Tennis star emphasizing the need for truthful companionship during the difficult times. She expressed these words during an interview to a British news outlet on Monday (today).
This is the first interview of Sania Mirza since she and Shoaib Malik parted ways earlier this year.
Talking about her life priorities, Sania said that the wealth and fame are not paramount as they could be perceived as mere comforts.
“The individuals’ role through the thick and thin is important,” said Sania Mirza.
She also acknowledged the life’s challenges by saying that “Not everyone in the world can like you; you must learn to deal with it.”
She also said, “I used to get very emotional, but now I think before expressing my reaction,”.
Despite inevitable criticism on social media, she said she choose not to interpret it as a personal attack.
Sania was of the view that patience comes with the passage of time and age but there is no alternative for a mother. She expressed contentment with the change, pointing out the importance of personal progression. Both Sania and Shoaib shared a son Izhaan Mirza Malik.
