The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee strengthened by 24 paisas against the US dollar in interbank trading on Wednesday and closed at Rs 175.47 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 175.71.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 175.8 and Rs 177.3 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was depreciated by 35 paisas and closed at Rs 198.69 against the last day’s trading of Rs 199.04, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen lost one paisa to close at Rs 1.54, whereas a decrease of 44 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 233.73 as compared to its last closing of Rs 234.17. —APP
