Pakistani rupee remained on the downward slide against the US dollar for the third consecutive day and depreciated to 185.92 on Wednesday.
The State Bank of Pakistan said in a statement that the rupee opened at 184.44 against the US dollar in the interbank market and closed at 185.92 after shedding Rs1.48 (-0.80 percent). Within the open market, the rupee was trading at 186/187.50 per dollar against 184.30/185.80 a day earlier.
During the first three days of this week, the rupee has shed Rs4.37 against the US dollar and slipped to 185.92 from 181.55. —TLTP
