Armed robbers deprived a motorcycle rider couple of cash, jewellery and cell phone here on Wednesday. Police said that two armed robbers riding 125 motorcycle intercepted a motorcyclist Rashid Rehman and his wife at Chakri Road in Dautala area of tehsil Gujar Khan.
The robbers snatched thousands of rupees cash, jewellery and cell phones from couple and sped the scene. The police after registering a case against unidentified robbers at Dautala police station have started an investigation.
Pak HC apprises Sri Lankan President about situation in IOK

High Commissioner of Pakistan, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat called on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and apprised him about the current situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. During the meeting, Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat briefed the Sri Lankan President about India’s illegal and unilateral actions seeking to alter the disputed status of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its demographic structure by revoking Article 370 and 35A. He also apprised Maithripala Sirisena of the deteriorating human rights and humanitarian situation in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.—INP
