MELBOURNE – Mohammad Rizwan is expected to replace Sarfraz Ahmed in the second Test match against Australia.
The sources said that the change is being considered due to the poor performance of Sarfraz Ahmed in the first Test match.
The second Test match will start from December 26 in Melbourne while the spirits are high of the both sides.
The sources said that the upcoming match might witness other changes also in the playing XI. With Khurram Shahzad ruled out due to injury, a fierce competition is expected between Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza for spot in the team.
Waseem Junior is reported to be unavailable for inclusion in the Melbourne match.
The opening partnership, meanwhile, would be maintained by Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique.
The speculations also suggest that all-rounder Faheem Ashraf could make way for off-break bowler Sajid Khan, introducing new possibilities in the team composition.
Pakistan lost the first Test match against Australia with a heavy margin.
