Provincial Minister Mitha Khan Kakar has said that the objective of celebrating March 23rd is to renew the pledge to work hard for the progress, peace and prosperity of the country.

Balochistan is the most backward province in terms of education as compared to other provinces. The teachers have to play their vital role to overcome the educational backwardness.

“We should forget our differences and get united, as unity and large-heatedness are good human values,” the minister emphasized.

He expressed these views while addressing an event organized by the Education Department at Model High School to mark Pakistan Day.

Provincial Minister Mitha Khan Kakar was the chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Shehak Baloch presided over the event.

The event was attended by ADC Qasim Kakar, SP Fahad Khosa, AC Abdul Wahab Nasar, Tehsildar Abdul Salam Musakhail, SHO Sher Ali Mandokhail, EDO Lal Jan Musakhail, heads of departments, notables, teachers and students in large number.

Speaking at the event Deputy Commissioner Shehak Baloch paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the freedom movement and founders of the country, who made the creation of Pakistan possible.

Students from different schools presented speeches, national songs and tableaus at the event.

Principal Habib-ur-Rehman Mandokhail, Qadeem Mandokhail and Hanan Hariphal thanked the participants.

Earlier in the morning, a flag hoisting ceremony held at the SP office. DC Shehak Baloch and SP Fahad Khosa hoisted the national flag. The function was attended by heads of various departments and police officers.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Day also celebrated with national sprit and fervour in neighboring district Sherani.

In this connection a simple yet dignified flag hoisting ceremony held in Sherani town. DC Muhammad Ramzan Palal hoisted the national flag. Officials and notables attended the event.

The day commemorates the passing of the Lahore Resolution almost eight decades back, when the All-India Muslim League demanded a separate nation for the Muslims of the British-Indian Empire.
