KARACHI – Renowned film star Resham on Friday made an intriguing revelation about her identity, saying that her her real name is not Resham but ‘Saima.
She also revealed that she decided to change her name just because of the presence of another well-known actress with the same name in the industry.
She made this disclosure during a local TV show.
Resham discussed her career, personal life, and involvement in social work. She shared that she originally hailed from Faisalabad, Punjab, but her family had relocated to Lahore before she embarked on her showbiz journey.
Resham recounted that her career began with small roles in government television dramas, which served as the stepping stones to her later lead roles.
She explained that her elder sister played a significant role in her career transition by changing her name to Resham after much consideration.
Consequently, her debut drama was credited under the name Resham, which has since become iconic in the industry.
