Rain likely in Karachi, Hyderabad, parts of Sindh

KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of scattered rains for Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Friday and Saturday.

As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan. It is likely to affect southern and western parts of the country from today evening/night.

Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh and partly cloudy in Karachi and surroundings on Friday and Saturday.

Karachi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 17-19 degrees Celsius on Friday and 18-20 on Saturday.

Hyderabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 17-19 C on Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.

Mohanjo-Daro remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped to 08 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 93 per cent.

In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 19 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 90 per cent.

In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 17 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 72 per cent.
