The Sindh Minister for Agriculture Mohammad Ismail Rahu has warned the profiteers to stop fleeching the consumers in the province. Mr. Rahu in a press statement issued here on Sunday said that Sindh government taking the strong notice of the steep rise in the prices of essential commodities from various parts of the province had asked the DCs and other officials to launch the massive crackdown against those involved in the illegal practices during the holy month of fasting.
‘This is totally unbearable and uncalled far to fleece the people in the wake of the lockdown due to looming threat of Covid-19’ he added warned the traders and shopkeepers to mend their ways or be ready for the stern actions. ‘Nobody will be allowed to create the problems for the people under the current situations’ he added and asked the people to pinpoint such unscrupulous elements so that stringent actions could be taken against them. He said that those found guilty of charging more than the rates fixed by the government would be dealt accordingly.
