QUETTA – More rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills are likely in Quetta and most parts of Balochistan on Tuesday and Wednesday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to enter Balochistan tomorrow evening/night.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Balochistan and freezing in northern districts on Monday night. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Chagi, Washuk, Panjgur and surrounding areas.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall over hills are expected in Quetta, Chamman, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Ziarat, Turbat, Nokkundi, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Chagi, Panjgur, Washuk, Dalbandin, Kharan and Gawadar. Cold and dry weather is likely elsewhere in the province.
Quetta’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between -04 to -02 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and -05 to -03 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Quetta and most parts of Balochistan during the last 24 hours.
Kalat remained the coldest place in Balochistan where temperature dropped 06 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 58 per cent.
In Quetta, minimum temperature dropped 04 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 81 per cent.
