The second annual matriculation (9th and 10th grade) examinations for the year 2023 are set to kick off on September 15th (today), marking a crucial academic milestone for thousands of students in Punjab.
All necessary arrangements and preparations have been diligently completed to ensure the smooth conduct of these examinations.
On the inaugural day of the exams, students will be tested on their knowledge of various subjects, including Education, Quranic Studies, Pakistan’s History, and Islamic History. These examinations play a vital role in assessing the educational progress of students and determining their academic achievements.
In Lahore, a substantial number of candidates are gearing up to participate in the second annual matriculation examinations. The Lahore Board is overseeing the examination process, and a total of 33,674 candidates are expected to appear for the exams. Among these candidates, 20,452 are young male scholars, while 13,222 are budding female students.
To accommodate these candidates, Lahore Board has established a network of 63 examination centers across its jurisdiction. These centers have been strategically located to facilitate the examination process and provide a conducive environment for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Muhammad Ali Agha, the Chairman of the Lahore Board, emphasized the importance of meticulous oversight and vigilance during the examination period. He issued directives to Controller of Examinations Irfan Ali to ensure stringent supervision and control at all examination centers. Agha emphasized that there would be zero tolerance for any negligence or irregularities during the examination process. The significance of these examinations extends beyond Lahore, as a total of 113,324 candidates are participating from across the Punjab region.
