LAHORE – The Punjab University has postponed examinations scheduled for December 16 till December 18 in a surprise move.
The announcement was made by a spokesperson of the university, stating that a revised schedule will be issued later.
The development comes a day after the deputy commissioners in Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi announced a holiday for educational institutions for December 16.
Why PU Postponed the Exams?
The university spokesperson has not mentioned the reasons behind abrupt decision of postponing the exams. The details will be shared as soon as these are shared by the officials.
Earlier in November, the Punjab university had postponed its exams scheduled for November 25 for one week due to intensifying smog in various cities of the province.
Holiday for Schools
A day earlier, deputy commissioners of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore issued notifications, declaring that public and private sector schools and colleges will remain closed in the Punjab capital on December 16, Monday (tomorrow).
They did not mention any reason for the holiday.
