Punjab registers 25,000 electric rickshaws online

LAHORE – The Punjab Transport and Mass Transit Department has successfully registered 25,000 rickshaws via the ‘Retrofitted Three-Wheeler’ portal since its launch in January 2024.

Additionally, 22,000 Special Registration Vouchers (SRVs) have also been issued under this initiative.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has developed the portal to ease the process of registration of three-wheelers in the province. The Retrofitted Three-Wheeler portal has provided a convenient platform for the registration and documentation procedures for three-wheelers, ensuring efficiency and transparency in the process.

Chairing a progress review meeting, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said that this initiative was not only facilitating the stakeholders but also contributing to enhancing transportation services in Punjab.
