Punjab and Mari Petroleum Company have qualified for the final of National Tray Hockey Championship. The final match will be played on Saturday 31st October at 2:30 PM. For the 3rd/4th position, the match will be played between PAF and HEC at 12:30 PM.
On the sixth day of the 5th National Tray Hockey Championships, two semifinals were played at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore Pitch no. II.
In the first semifinal, Punjab defeated Pakistan Air Force by 7 – 3. At the half time Punjab was leading with only one goal but in 3rd and 4thquarter Punjab team completely dominating the proceedings and scored 6 more goals.
Zain Ijaz and Hannan Shahid netted two goals each, Amir Ali, Mohsin Hassan, and Arslan Arshad scored one goal each for the winning side While for PAF Abdul Rehman, Mohsin Khan and Adnan Haider Scored one goal each.
The second semifinal was played between MPCL and HEC.
MPCL won by 4-1. Muhammad Murtaza Yaqoob scored two goals, Abdul Rehman, Umair Sattar scored one goal each for MPCL while Sufian scored the only goal for HEC.
