Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited Attock Campus of PirMehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR). Punjab Governor said education is the basis of progress of all nations and no nation can make progress without strengthening education and educational institutions. Governor said that it is very important to provide higher education facilities in remote areas.
Governor directed to complete the campus at the earliest and said that the PMAS-AAUR Attock Campus project will be operational in the shortest possible time.
He appraised and acknowledged the efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem for uplifting the academic standard of university and assured his cooperation for smooth functioning of university academic and administrative matters.
Earlier, PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem briefly presented the history and current status of Sub-Campus Attock. He highlighted the efforts of university administration and suggested modalities for early completion of the Sub-Campus of PMAS-AAU Rawalpindi at Attock so as to make it functional at the earliest.
On the occasion, Prof Dr. Ikram Ali Malik Director, University Institute of Management Sciences (UIMS), Dr. Muhammad Kamran (Director P&D), Deputy Commissioner Attock RaoAtifRaza and Dr. Rifat Hayat (Director Sub-Campus Attock) was also present in the briefing.
