LAHORE – Punjab government has announced new initiative to help people get free solar system, and that’s without having holes in their pockets amid soaring inflated bills.
As per DGPR, the principal media communication wing of Punjab government, the solar panel program aimed to allocate different sizes of solar panels based on electricity usage. Users consuming 50 units or less per month are eligible for a 500-watt solar panel, while those using between 50 and 100 units can get a 1-kilowatt panel.
Those consuming between 200-300 units will get 1100-watt panel is available, and those using between 300 and 400 units are eligible for a 1650-watt panel.
Users with 500 units of consumption are granted a 2200-watt panel. This approach ensures that higher electricity consumers receive larger solar panels to meet their energy needs.
The government’s initiative aims to reduce dependence on conventional energy while price from grid skyrocketed amid massive taxes.
