Prominent political figures belonging to Southern Punjab and former N-Leaguer MPA from Vehari Farah Manzoor Baloch Rind along with her colleagues called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema at their residence here on Sunday. They also announced joining Pakistan Muslim League (Q), reposing trust in the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussan and Ch Pervaiz Elahi.
On the occasion, Peer Haroon Shah Khagga, Peer Salman Shah Khagga, Ghazanfar Ilyas Bandesha, Amjad Khan, Ch Tanveer Sindhu, Abu Bakr Sindhu and Mujahid Zahid were also present.
Welcoming the leaders in the party’s fold, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that serving the people by resolving their problems on their doorsteps is the mission of PML-Q, adding that special packages were offered during they were in power to remove sense of deprivation of the people of Southern Punjab.
He said that the process of reorganization of the party for making it active in the Southern Punjab is continuing. He said that the party workers imbued with the spirit of serving the masses will be brought forward.
On the occasion, former MPA Farah Manzoor said that she along with her colleagues have joined Pakistan Muslim League on being impressed by leadership capabilities of Chaudhry Sahibaan. She said that Nawaz Sharif’s narrative is against the army and the country and they are patriotic people that’s why they have joined the caravan of those uniting the country after leaving those breaking the country.
