KARACHI – The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur has proposed December 1 for holding retake of the Medical & Dental College Admission Test 2024 (MDCAT) in Sindh.
The institution has sent the recommendation to the Sindh Health Department as preparations are underway to hold the test again in line with the orders of the Sindh High Court (SHC).
Earlier, the health department presented a report to SHC, informing it about the agreement with the IBA Sukkur for conducting the test, which is necessary for admissions in MBBS and BDS programs.
On the other hand , the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has appointed its Controller of Examinations, Imdad Khushak, as the focal point for the MDCAT 2024.
Earlier this month, the Sindh High Court (SHC) declared the MDCAT, which was conducted by the Dow University, null and void after it approved petitions filed by students and their parents over alleged irregularities, mismanagement and paper leak.
The court had ordered the authorities to hold the test again within six weeks.
Meanwhile, the Sindh cabinet has approved an amount of Rs232.1 million for the re-conduct of the MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) 2024.
