Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan ex-premier of AJK now supreme head of Muslim Conference has described the proposed 15th constitutional amendment as anti-state status of 1974 constitution of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
“Our party Muslim Conference outrightly rejects any amendment in the current consensual governmental constitution operative in AJK since year 1974”, he declared here in a party consultative session under his chairmanship Tuesday. The 15th AJK constitutional amendment deemed to have been proposed by the federal government high-ups is aimed at re-creating defunct overarching Kashmir Council which move Kashmiri political parties hold as anti-democratic and anti-state status to AJK political and constitutional authority.
Political parties of Azad Kashmir fear curtailment of existing administrative and political management powers which the current operative constitution of 1974 gaurantees them.
