Problems of expats to be resolved on war footings

Additional Chief Secretary (Administrative Secretary of Overseas Pakistanis Commission) Shaukat Ali chaired a meeting held to review the performance of district overseas Pakistanis committees of Sargodha Division via video link in Civil Secretariat on Wednesday. Overseas Pakistanis Commission Vice Chairperson Waseem Akhtar and OPC Commissioner Passand Khan Buledi briefed the chair in detail about the resolved, referred and pending complaints of Sargodha Division and overall performance and working mechanism of the commission.
Commissioner Passand Khan Buledi also shared the ongoing proceedings and the latest statistics showing the progress of the complaints. Out of 331 complaints, total number of complaints resolved from 4 districts i.e. Sargodha, Khushaab, Mianwali and Bhakkar is 210 which makes the resolved rate 63% in the Sargodha Division.
It is also pertinent to mention that as per OPC Portal 17812 complaints have been received so far out of which 9797 complaints have been resolved because of the hard work of the officers working in the commission.
The resolved rate of the complaints has reached from 37% in the beginning of this year to 55% now. It is the commitment of my team that we have been able to resolve over 4500 complaints during last year retrieving the property worth Rs. 6 Billion, Vice Chairperson OPC.
Additional Chief Secretary (Administrative Secretary of Overseas Pakistanis Commission) Shaukat Ali while chairing the review meeting said that the marvelous work done by the commission was commendable and expeditious disposal of the complaints of the overseas Pakistanis by the commission was also satisfactory. Overseas Pakistanis were backbone of the economy of this country and early resolution of their problems was among the top priorities of PTI government.
The best performing deputy commissioners and district police officers shall be rewarded with certificates while on the other hand, the officers not complying with the directions shall receive disciplinary action against them.
Waseem Akhtar, Overseas Pakistanis Commission Commissioner Passand Khan Buledi, Sargodha Division commissioner, chairpersons DOPCs, deputy commissioners, district police officers of Sargodha Division and concerned officers attended the meeting.
