Private Schools will remain closed in Karachi on Monday 27 February

On Monday, February 27, all private schools in Karachi will be closed.Following the passing of Vice Chairman Khalid Raza, President of the All Private Schools Federation Kashif Mirza declared the closure of all Karachi schools.

In the midst of escalating crime and lawlessness in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar neighbourhood, Syed Khalid Raza, vice chairman of the Federation of Private Schools and deputy director of a private school system, was shot and killed by unidentified armed men on Sunday.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the area as soon as they were informed and took the deceased to the hospital.

Raza was shot at by two armed gunmen on motorcycles, according to witnesses. They added that they had reported the suspects to the police after seeing them in the vicinity multiple times, but that their reports had been disregarded.
