Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Adviser for Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the identity of Lyari is sports and the People’s Party government is actively working to maintain this identity.
He expressed these views while talking to the officials on a visit to the Boxing Arena under the Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Program (KNIP) at Lyari Kukri Ground today. On this occasion, the officials of KNIP gave a briefing of the program to the Spokesperson of the Sindh government.
Spokesperson of the Sindh Government directed to expedite the development works. He said that the construction of a modern sports stadium in Lyari will further boost the sports activities here as there is immense sports talent in Lyari which we have to utilize.
He further said that the Boxing Arena will be inaugurated in Lyari Kukri Sports Stadium this week, while in the second phase preparations will be started to activate the Karate Arena and Sports Pavilion.
