KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party has decided to form a coalition government in southwestern province of Balochistan.
A meeting of PPP’s newly-elected members of Balochistan Assembly was held at the residence of Sarfraz Bugti in Islamabad where matters related to forming the government were discussed.
MPA-elect Sadiq Imrani said that it was the right of the PPP to form the government as public had given them the mandate in Balochistan.
He said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be an ally of the PPP in Balochistan, adding that all will accept the person to be nominated by the leadership for the chief minister post.
Provisional results showed that out of 51 Balochistan Assembly seats 11 were won by the PPP and JUI each. PML-N secured 10 seats followed by independent candidates who won six seats.
Balochistan Awmi Party has won four seats while National Party has grabbed three seats in general election 2024.
