A hundred sapling were planted in Islamabad on Friday by Private Power and Infrastructure Board to follow the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan for creating a positive image of the country by making it clean and green. The Managing Director PPIB Shah Jahan Mirza inaugurated the event by planting a sapling.

The initiative was supported by the Capital Development Authority by providing logistic support.

MD PPIB said that over the years Islamabad has witnessed a reduction in tree cover, and if we all fulfil our social responsibility to plant trees, the city will soon turn into a green canvas.

He said that PPIB has been part of the plantation drive in the preceding years as well and will continue to supportthe Honourable Prime Minister Imran Khan in this noble drive which is truly the need of the time.

PPIB has been making important contributions through addition of new power generation capacity from private sector power projects to eliminate chronic load shedding from the country.
