Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab Hasaan Khawar has said that it is the need of the hour that all political forces transcend their personal interests and agree on the agenda of solution of public problems and national prosperity.
He said that the role of the opposition is to help strengthen democracy but opposition parties have blatantly ignored this principle by trying to score points on difficult decisions that government has had to take for betterment of the country.
He expressed these views while talking to the media at the International Sufism Conference held at Data Darbaar yesterday. SACM said that today, humanity is in the grip of terrorism. In such a situation, only by adopting the lifestyle and teachings of the saints can we emerge victorious out of such abysmal scenario, and reform ourselves as a nation.
He further said that the growing violence at the national and international level can only be discouraged by the spread of ideology of Sufis.
Sufi fraternity lit candle of love and devotion everywhere.
