The Punjab Health Department on Wednesday said that poliovirus has been detected in three children in Jhang, taking the number of polio cases in the district so far in the current year to four, reported a private TV channel. As per the report sent to higher authorities, the Health Department said that three-year-old Mudassar Nazar is a resident of Novi Mile Chiniot Road, one and a half year old Shajar Fatima Chand is a resident of Bharwana while one-year-old Amara is a resident of Gandewala in Jhang. As per the government’s website End Polio, there are 70 poliovirus cases reported in 2020 in Pakistan.
