LKARACHI – The special polio vaccination campaign on Saturday faced a major challenges since its launch.
On the first day of the initiative, 27% of parents refused to have their children vaccinated against polio, a.local TV reported.
The campaign, which incorporates modern technology, is set to continue until August 25. It includes both oral vaccinations and IPV fractional doses.
The increasing number of parents refusing the polio drops has raised concerns.
In response, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has instructed the Health Department to enhance the effectiveness of the anti-polio campaign.
He emphasized that polio is a severe disease that can devastate a child’s life, and he called for full cooperation from parents and guardians.
Shah warned that there is no excuse for refusing the vaccination and that action will be taken against those who do not comply.
