A shooter belonging to a crime gang allegedly shot a young man dead in Millat Park area here for ‘leaking’ information about another hit man, leading to his death in an ‘encounter’.
A CCTV footage of the incident shows an unidentified armed man stopping a car and shooting the man in the driving seat. Identified as Fareed Gujjar (35), the man later succumbed to his bullet injuries at a hospital. The police termed it a targeted killing, saying Fareed was allegedly murdered by a sharp shooter.
A police official said a gang had hired the shooter to get Fareed killed for leaking information about a “member” Umair Gujjar, a hit man of Lahore, to the police.
