Police crackdown continues against criminals across Punjab

As per directions of Punjab Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastgir, crackdown against criminals and anti social elements is continued across the province and proclaimed offenders along with other accused are being detained.
Likewise, Chakwal Police under the supervision of DPO Muhammad Bin Ashraf achieved many successes bt taking actions against court absonders, thieves, drugs peddlers, proclaimed offenders and illegal weapons holders.
The Chakwal DPO while briefing about the current month achievements told that the police arrested 20 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous cases whereas 9 members of 2 dacoity gangs have been traced and arrested. From their possession, one car having worth of 28 lacs, 3 motorcycles, 7 pistols along with cash amount of Rs 50000 and one cow having worth of Rs 270000 have been recovered.
Moreover, in search operations 14 most wanted accused have been arrested whereas 15 court absconders have also been arrested. He further told that 34 accused have been arrested after registering 34 cases of having illegal weapons including 23 pistols, 7 guns, 12 bore, 4 rifles and 2 Kalashinkoves have been recovered from them.
Likewise, 34 accused have been arrested after registering 34 cases of drugs and 22220 gram chars, 48 wine bottles, 3594 gram opium and 60 gram heroin have been recovered from them. During the month, in special campaign against kite flying, 32 kites, 01 Gola thread have been recovered.
Under Tenancy Act, total 32 cases have been registered against the violators.
In action against gamblers, 31 accused have been arrested by lodging 6 cases and Rs 2419010 and 9 mobile phones have also been recovered from them. He further told that the district police have undertaken 6841 challans of violators involved in number plate less vehicles, non original number plates, smoke emitting vehicles, overloading and for applying black papers on vehicles.
The DPO said no stone has been left unturned in maintaining crime control and I myself supervising search operations so that law abiding citizens should be cared about. Moreover, the plantation campaign has also been started in the district under which saplings have been sent to all police stations, pickets and police offices of the district. 1000 samplings shall be planted during this plantation campaign,the DPO added.
He said that the doors of his office will always remain open to people of Chakwal and provision of justice is among his top priorities. He said that use of information technology and timely reforms are being used and ensured in accordance with the modern age. Crackdown are also being done against the criminals and community policing is also being promoted to control the crime.
In this regard, DDRC has been activated at tehseel level and during this month, arbitration has been accorded between the parties after concluding 55 applications, further he added that, as per the directions, 04 open courts have been held whereas the grievances of the aggrieved persons are being resolved on daily basis.
