The issue of PMS officers could not be resolved yet as their promotion board could not meet even after the passage of a long time to promote several officers waiting for getting into next grades.
According to the details, the Punjab chief secretary had formed a committee to sooth the PMS officers in this regard but unfortunately the promotion board of PMS officers has not met yet.
Sources said that the PMS officers could not be appointed as DCs and Secretaries on the basis of quota. PMS officers have been waiting for the promotion board meeting despite training for two years.
Sources said that PMS Association President Naveed Shehzad Mirza himself is a candidate for DC. That is why Naveed Shehzad Mirza takes a weak stance against the decisions of the Chief Secretary.
On the other hand, the Punjab government has sent a new requisition for the recruitment of PMS officers.
The requisition has been sent to the Punjab Public Service Commission. In the new relocation, five posts of ETO, 50 posts of PMS officers have been announced while 10 posts of minorities, one for persons with disabilities and 39 posts on open merit have been announced.
The Punjab Public Service Commission will examine the candidates for these posts this year.
