Pakistan Muslim League-N has chalked out a comprehensive plan to start campaign for the general elections, the sources told Pakistan Observer on Thursday.

The PML-N and it’s top leadership has decided to connect with the masses. “The party and it’s leadership strongly believe in the public support,” said the sources citing the proceedings of an internal meeting, adding that the door to door campaign option was also deliberated.

However, the sources said that the party is still in the search of a powerful narrative to attract the voters in the given political situation. According to the sources within the party, the PML-N is set to host a series of 14 nationwide gatherings, spanning from the third week of January until February 6.

Nawaz Sharif and party President Shahbaz Sharif would lead the gatherings. “Nawaz Sharif will address the 14 gatherings and Shahbaz is taking the stage in 18 gatherings,” said the sources.

They added that “Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz will also take active part by addressing voters during the upcoming campaign and gatherings. “This is the PML-N’s electoral outreach plan,” said the sources while citing the meeting of the party leaders.

They said, “This outreach plan is for the whole country, with main focus on Punjab and it’s major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi. PML-N, they said, also planned a power show in Karachi.

Practical guidelines and details for these electoral events are likely to be finalized by the second week of January.
As the political scene heats up in Lahore and beyond, the PML-N’s strategic move aims to forge direct connections with the voters, outlining its vision and priorities for the upcoming general elections.
