The Lahore police on Tuesday arrested a PML-N leader from Gujrat accused of depositing money in the Benami account of former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Reportedly, the Shahdara police arrested PML-N leader Aurangzeb Butt when he was heading to Lahore.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accountability court has summoned Mr Butt in the Ramazan Sugar Mills case.
According to the FIA challan, Mr Butt was accused of transferring Rs5 million to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s account. The Federal Investigation Agency is probing the case.
