PM Shehbaz commends Pak Army’s commitment to National Security at Wargame briefing

RAWALPINDI – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised operational readiness of Pakistan Army, highlighting forces essential role in maintaining strategic stability, particularly in the nuclear-armed South Asian region.

The military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the premier recognized Army’s efforts in sustaining the power balance crucial for peace at the conclusion of the Army War Game in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

PM Shebaz was briefed in detail about the recent wargame and the Army’s preparedness to handle a variety of threats.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attuallah Tarar, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, and senior military officials.

PM Shehbaz praised Army’s creative strategies and organizational reforms aimed at enhancing deterrence capabilities. He also stressed the importance of ensuring that any aggressor faces significant consequences.

The military leadership reaffirmed their dedication to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also emphasized that the Pakistan Army is fully aware of current security challenges and will continue to improve its capabilities to address potential threats.
