PM gets briefing on SL-3 Lahore Ring Road

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Tuesday received a briefing regarding the construction of the southern portion (SL-3) of Lahore Ring Road.

He was apprised that 8-kilometer long southern portion of the SL-3 would be completed by January 30, 2024 which would significantly ease vehicular traffic coming from South Punjab, the PM Office Media Wing said in a press release. The Prime Minister appreciated the Punjab Government’s efforts to expedite the uplift projects.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Tuesday was apprised that 70 percent construction work on the Imamia Colony flyover, Shahdara had been completed. During a briefing on his visit to the site, the prime minister was informed that the Imamia Colony flyover was being constructed over the Lahore-Faisalabad railway line, the PM Office Media Wing said in a press release. It was an 18-month project which would be completed with the cooperation of the provincial government in six and a half months till December 2023, it was added. The prime minister lauded the efforts of the provincial government for accelerating pace of the construction work on different development projects.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Tuesday visited the mausoleum of Poet of East Allama Muhammad Iqbal and paid his respects. The prime minister, who is on a two-day visit to the Punjab capital, offered Fateha at the mausoleum and paid tributes to the great poet. He said that the Muslims of the subcontinent made collective efforts to realise the dream of Allama Iqbal. “However, Allama Iqbal’s dream will be truly realised when we as a nation will strive for the better future of the country,” he remarked.
