PIA plane crash survivor dies in London

KARACHI – A survivor of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) 1965 crash in Cairo, Egypt, passed away in London at the age of 93.

Salahuddin Siddiqui, who was also former general manager of public relations at the national carrier, died on Friday morning.

On May 20, 1965, PIA flight PK 705 met aviation accident in Cairo early in the morning. Six passengers miraculously survived the crash and Siddiqui was one of them.

At the time of the accident, Salahuddin Siddiqui was serving as the PIA’s general manager of the public relations.

The details regarding his funeral prayers are yet to be shared by the family members.
