ISLAMABAD – Pakistan International Airlines stewards continue to put the national flag carrier in bad light. In the recent incident, a PIA air hostess has been held in Toronto for carrying multiple passports.
Hina Sani, who arrived in Toronto on PK-789, was arrested as Canadian immigration authorities found multiple passports belonging to different individuals from her baggage.
The airline spokesperson confirmed her arrest. The accused is said to be a family member of famous Pakistani singer.
Sources familiar with development told media that seven other flight attendants who were with Hina Sani on flight PK 789, were designated as no-flyers by the airline for Toronto.
The air hostess got special permission from senior officials, using her own ID, which is against protocol. The shocking revelations raise questions about the events leading up to the escape incidents.
Another two air hostesses on the same flight were also questioned but were released after the probe.
For the unversed, traveling with passports belonging to other persons is crime.
