PESHAWAR – Rains and gusty winds are expected in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating upper parts of Pakistan and are likely to strengthen on Tuesday. A trough of shallow westerly wave will likely approach upper parts of the country on Tuesday.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Balakot, Mansehra, Abbotabad, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Kohat, Kurram and Dera Ismail Khan on Monday night.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Balakot, Mansehra, Abbotabad, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Battagram, Karak, Khyber, Bajaur, Kurram, Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 40-42°C on Tuesday and 39-41°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the province.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. Maximum temperature in Bannu was recorded at 43°C.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 45 per cent.
