Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; rain likely this week

PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of scattered rains for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the week.
Partly cloudy weather and scattered rains are likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday and Friday.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Freezing weather is expected in upper districts.

Fog update for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Dense fog/smog will likely prevail in Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and surroundings.
Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 01-03 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday and 03-05 C on Friday.
Meanwhile, cold wave and foggy weather prevailed in Peshawar and plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
Freezing weather prevailed in upper districts.
Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 07 C below freezing.
In Peshawar, the minimum temperature was recorded at 02 C.
Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 93 per cent.
Dense fog/smog prevailed in Peshawar and plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Less visibility disrupted traffic on inter and intra-city roads in plains of the province.
